This was the first week back at school we decided to do a coat hanger, for the first few days of week 1 we drew the coat hanger up on sketch u.

Week 9 of term 2
This week i put my piece on the lathe, i chiselled it till it was round i then chiselled a bit more in for the kitchen rack slot, then i sanded it till it was soft and even, then i applied bee's wax then i got a rack and spread it around thoroughly and then it made a clean finished.
Week 8 of term 2
This week i got the two bits of 400mm wood that were now glued together, and got plaining tool and made into and octagon shape so that when i use the lathe it will not vibrate and make it easier.
Week 7 of term 2
This week i had to glue another 2 bits of 400mm because i lost my old one, i spread glue thoroughly between the two bits and left it to dry for 24 hours.

Week 6 of term 2
This week was exam week so we did not doing any practical in woodwork so i had no time to make any changes on my kitchen rack.

This week we got our wood for the kitchen rack i started by getting my sides and measuring them to 180mm then i cut them to 180mm, then drew the lines 15mm from the bottom were next week i will do cut the housing joints for my draw.

This week i did my design brief i did an orthographic drawing of my kitchen rack, that i will use in my design brief for the kitchen rack.

Week 10
This week i'm designing my kitchen rack i gathered three ideas and and i chose one and then i drew it up on google sketch up this is my result

Week 9
This week was my last, I had to burn X and O's into the grained side of my cubes, then after that was done i had to oil it with the oil that mr Daveron provided for us and then left it to dry.
Week 8
This week i had to sand my cubes to make sure they fit inside my box, they all fit in nicely.
Week 7
This week i got my long piece of wood that will be turned into my naughts and crosses cubes, I measured them then sawed them.
week 6
This week i measured the 4 inner parts of my box which will soon come together to hold my cubes in. I measured and cut them to the appropriate size.

This week i got 4 more pieces of wood, these are the inside parts. With these bits of woods your get a marking gauge to measure half way through the piece of wood you then saw half way down and then chisel ou from the marked lines.

Week 1-4
First 4 weeks, we have ruled up 4 pieces of wood, cut and shaped them to make a sqaure. This in the end will turn into an naughts and crosses box.
